Egremont Russet is a heritage brand for the Historic apple, known for its russeted (Rough, Mud-like) skin, I knew I had to play into that, I wanted to almost play on natural beauty 'beauty is on the inside, not on the outside'. I stylised all the marks and typography to a hand-drawn style, for an emphasis on organic and human touch.
I experimented with packaging design, trying to balance aesthetics with purpose. I understood viewpoints, and where I wanted the public to look at when they see the apples on the shelves, although I think an apple in a weird, little box would grab enough attention.
