Helvellyn is a type project I embarked on to create a display typeface for Transport for Cumbria, the condensed black letterforms were inspired by the Lake District, which is an important identity for many Cumbrians.The results bring a bold, contemporary typeface which can be represented through digital and physical media, the simple grotesk-style letterforms allow a sense of character without disruption the flow of text.
